1) Cricket :

Regularly participating in intercollegiate tournament of University of Mumbai.
Organize intercollegiate cricket tournament for engineering, medical etc. colleges in year 2007-2008
15 teams participated – RGIT  were runners up
                                       VCET  were winners

In year 2008-2009
23 teams participated – Matches are being played at cross maidan

2) Football :

In 2007-2008 – Winner at Thakur College of Engineering and Technology among 32 teams
Conducted tournament at RGIT
24 Teams participated – RGIT winners
                                       SPIT runners up
Reached 4th round of the tournament of University of Mumbai .

In 2008-2009 – Reached 4th round of the tournament of University of Mumbai

Rink football at RGIT is very popular amongst all colleges

3) Lawn tennis :

We have a  champion player in the form of Ms. Shweta Dawar (S.E.Comps)
In year 2007-2008 she has won gold medals at Institute of Chemical Technology and at BIT’s Pillani college
In year 2008-2009 she has in the tournament of University of Mumbai, she then represented MU at state level where she earned bronze .
Now Shweta will be representing West Zone at National level at Gwalier in March 2009

RGIT is organizing a L.T. Tournament this year

4) Chess :

Organized Open Chess Tournament accredited by Bombay Chess Association March 2008
Over 100 players participated
Same is being done this  year also.
We expect participation of at least 150 players
