Programme Introduction

The Department of Instrumentation Engineering was established in 1992. The department is offering under graduate program B.E. in Instrumentation Engineering. Instrumentation engineering is all about the measurement of any physical/analog parameters like flow, temperature, level, distance, angle or pressure and controlling many other such parameters. Right from the elevators to the luxurious automated cars.Everything is Instrumentation engineering! The combination of all the other branches is Instrumentation engineering

The major role of Instrumentation is to provide Automation professionals. Automation professionals are responsible for solving complex problems in many vital aspects of industry and its processes which is important to the preservation of the health, safety, and welfare of the public.

The department boasts qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty to impart fundamental and applied knowledge in the field of, Process Systems Engineering, Industrial Automation, Instrumentation Systems Engineering.

The department focuses on preparing the students to meet global industrial challenges. Growing requirement of control and computing has created a large space for “Research in Instrumentation”. The ultimate goal is to make them aware of the recent advances taking place in the technological field.

  • The Program envisage to evolve itself to become a dynamic contributor to the world society through the development of proficiency and diffusion of recent knowledge in the field of Instrumentation and Control and to establish an atmosphere that will aid the improvement of individuals through innovative teaching skill and involvement of core industries.

  • Graduates will develop analytical and logical skills that enable them to analyze and design Instrumentation and Control system.

  • Graduates will achieve professional skill to expose themselves by giving an opportunity as an individual as well as team

  • Graduates will undertake research activities in emerging multidisciplinary fields.

Program Specific Outcome

  • Learn and explore fundamentals of Instrumentation Engineering and apply them to various areas like Electrical, Control, Analog, Digital, Automation and Signal Processing System.

  • Solve complex Instrumentation control problems using recent techniques, with analytical skill to achieve optimized solutions.

  • Infuse ethical responsibility, business skills and team work to become successful engineer /Entrepreneur.
